My Experience

Before the hurricane, there was a lot of preparation, putting  up shutters bringing in outside furniture, getting stuff we would need ect. ect. During the hurricane My dads friend stayed with us. I mostly read, played with my dog who stayed in my room or listened to music. I also prayed with my mom and dad. During the worst part of the storm we all stayed in my parents room wich next to my moms closet was the safest room in the house. My moms closet had all the electronics in it. In between the worst part of the storm and the end of it we went outside and started soaping up water with towels and placing buckets and trying to prevent many things from water damage. The same thing happened for Maria except we had two other people and one other dog with us.  After the first storm I was mind blown at how the terrain looked. There was no leaves anywhere, it was all barren. Our internet and electricity lines were in our yard and our neighbors roof had blown off completely and was in our pool. We walked around our neighborhood to see who was ok and see if anyone had service to call our family. We met many people and it was nice to have a sense of community
